We provide a fun and active doggy day care service from our home in the Essex-Suffolk countryside, Monday to Friday, 7 am - 7 pm
We provide a homely alternative to dog kennels. If you're going on holiday or away for the weekend, your furry friend can stay with us in our home with our two Labradors.
We're also big advocates of feeding dogs on a biologically appropriate raw meat and bone diet. We stock a wide range of Natural Instinct dog food and bones available to purchase.
You can drop-off your furry friend anytime between 7 and 8 am. Got a train to catch? Many owners arrive at 7 am, as they need to catch a train to London, so don't be worried about arriving early.
Once everyone has arrived, we head out for a morning walk around the Suffolk-Essex countryisde. The walk lasts about 45-60 mins
Back from the morning walk, all dogs are fed with food provided by their owners. All meals are supervised to ensure that no one gets to eat someone elses.
Having had a walk and food, most of the pack are ready for a morning nap in our dedicated dog lounge with comfy beds and sofas. However, for the younger and energetic ones, they have the freedom to play in our secure enclosed garden.
After a good morning nap, the pooches are raring to head out again for the afternoon patrol around the rural countryside. The walk lasts about 30-45 mins
Back from the afternoon walk it's time for another feed, closely followed by another little dog nap! It's been a long day.
Having had a fun and active day of sniffing and chasing squirrels, your pooch is ready for home. Owners can collect their furry friend anytime between 4 and 7 pm. Dogs that are boarding / staying overnight stay with our own dogs in the house.
All dogs must be current on their required vaccinations: DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Para Influenza, Parvovirus), and the Bordetella vaccine (kennel cough) is also mandatory.
Both males and females must be neutered if old enough to be fertile (i.e. at approx 6 months old for males and following the first season for females).
An assessment of your dogs temperament to determine compatibility with the pack. As Poppy’s House offers an open play environment, every dog must be evaluated before attending day care.
